Peakin' Trippers

Peakin' Trippers are a five-piece band from Bray, Wicklow, Ireland. The band is made up of Scott O'Neill on vocals, Cillian Duane on guitar, Shay Fogarty on bass, Dan Smith on drums and Dave Butler on vocals and guitar.〔()〕 They are under management from Aidan Coughlan who is director at “We Can Manage”.
==History==
Peakin' Trippers are currently working on their new album '6 Pieces of Gold' in Sun Studios with Gareth Manix, in which they did a fundraiser for in 2009.〔http://www.letmusicinspireyou.com/?page_id=17〕 They have released two singles, "Tin Tin" (2008) and "Forgotten Man" (2009). The "Forgotten Man" single included the video in which they made for the song, directed by Rob Manson and produced by Annville Films.〔()〕 Tin Tin was released on the 5th of September 2008 in Crawdaddy. The single reached number 45 in the Irish charts in 2008. This has been the highest Irish chart position from the band to date.
They won two heats in the Hot Press Tiger Untamed Competition which offered a €20,000 prize with €5000-€6000 of music equipment from ''Music Maker'', a professional photo shoot and video shoot and five days’ worth of recording in Nutshed Studios in Clara. However they lost in the final to Annebrook.
The Peakin’ Trippers regularly play in their home town Bray. They have recently played alongside Republic of Loose at Brays “Summerfest” and played Presentation Brays annual rugby festival.
Despite financial issues and [unemployment, the band continues to stay in Ireland promoting themselves as a top Irish band. Dave Butler is quoted in saying; 'If I didn't have the band I would probably be unhappy'. He now works in Dunnes Cornelscourt, despite completing a degree in hospitality management in DIT.
